Kara Vitamin D Deficiency Rapid Self Test
Kara's Rapid Home Vitamin D Deficiency Test works by measuring the amount of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in your blood, which is the main form of vitamin D found in your body.
How to Use the Test:
The test involves drawing a few drops of blood which are extracted via a small finger prick device. The blood is collected and is then inserted into the test cassette, two drop of the liquid buffer is added, and the results are read after 10 minutes.
How to Read the Results:
The test will indicate whether your vitamin D level is deficient, insufficient, or normal.
Who’s this Test for & What are the Benefits:
This test is recommended for individuals who are at risk for vitamin D deficiency, such as those who have limited sun exposure, have darker skin, or consume a diet low in vitamin D. Also, people who have medical conditions that can cause malabsorption of nutrients or take medications that can interfere with vitamin D absorption may also need to have their vitamin D levels checked. The test is a very useful aid in quickly diagnosing Vitamin D deficiency and determining the appropriate course of treatment.
